Codes Of Conduct

To make everyone’s experience at a club more enjoyable it is important to identify the boundaries of acceptable behaviour for coaches, officers, volunteers, members, supporters and parents/guardians/carers. On the right, you will find a template code of conduct for junior members  and a code of conduct for parents/guardians/carers. These offer basic examples of guidelines/rules you may wish to introduce in your club.  Your National Governing Body may also have examples specific for your sport/activity.  The other codes of conduct templates can be found within the Coaching and Volunteers pages.

judo coachingAs sports/physical activities face a number of different safety issues and each one approaches safety differently it becomes more important that each club has its own specific set of guidelines and procedures.  These specific procedures should run in conjunction with the National Governing Body rules of that sport/activity.  If these codes are followed and held in high regard by the club then they should lead to reduced risk of injury to club members and the community in general.
