A ‘code of conduct’ referred to above is in simple terms a set of rules that advises a group of people on their accepted level of behaviour or discipline. This can be for the playing members (whether junior or senior), parents/guardians/carers, coaches, volunteers, supporters and officials.
The role of these codes is to protect club members, and others potentially affected by their actions, through an agreement of a set of safety procedures. The codes can also provide guidance on "fair play" in order to maintain a correct sporting ethos. More information can be found in the Managing your club section of this site.
