Welsh Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA)

wcva logoThe WCVA is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales. The organisation represents and campaigns for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities.

Big Lottery Fund

The Big Lottery Fund is responsible for giving out half the good causes money raised by the National Lottery, giving it a budget of about £630 million a year. The organisation is committed to bringing real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need.

GRANTnet is a free to use funding search site provided by the market-leading grants database, GRANTfinder, which,Grantnet since its establishment in 1985, has become the industry benchmark. This site contains the most comprehensive and up-to-date database of grants, loans and other initiatives operating in the UK.

Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust

The Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust is an independent charitable foundation.  Through its funding, the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust aims to improve the quality of life of people who live and work in Wales.  The Trust has chosen to make grants in the following four categories:

1.  sport

2.  the arts

3.  community

4.  the environment

Awards for all

Awards for All Wales is supported by the Big Lottery Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for people to take part in heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.

Community Amateur Sports Clubs

Sports clubs play a valuable role in their communities. The Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC) scheme recognises this important role by distinguishing between clubs and businesses for rates and tax purposes, ensuring money is kept in sports clubs.Revenue & Customs 

CASC's can now apply to be registered with the Inland Revenue to claim tax relief. This will offer them the support and recognition they have long deserved. 

The new tax package is available to all CASC’s in the country and ensures that community sport is given the best possible chance to nurture and enhance local sports people.

Barclays Spaces for Sport

Barclays Spaces for Sports is a £30 million investment to create sustainable sports facilities in communities across the UK. It is the single biggest investment in grassroots sport by a company ever in the UK.

Cydcoed

cydcoedlogoCydcoed is a £16 million grant programme which gives 100% funding and support for community groups in the Objective One areas of West Wales, North Wales and the South Wales valleys to use woods for community development.  Cydcoed helps the people of Wales make the best possible use of woodland for jobs, economic growth, conservation and recreation - making trees and woods a valuable part of community life.
