Managing your club

This section looks at further developing the administration duties that need to be undertaken to manage your club effectively.

In the first part of the website the basics are explained in terms of National Governing Body (NGB) affiliation, code of conduct templates for the various roles within clubs (from members, parents/carers, coaches and volunteers), legal documents such as constitutions, first aid considerations and insurance.

In this section we go a step further to look at:

• club structures – the different types of set up for your club to consider;
• meetings – the various meetings you will hold during the year from committee meetings to Annual General Meetings (AGM);
• policies & procedures – the things you should have in place;
• governance - ensuring that your club is properly accountable.
